In Getting Up, Nuno Viegas aka MetisOne, creates his own aesthetic manifesto: a clean and minimal representation of elements associated with traditional graffiti. Getting up also means a path, a destination or"getting there". This exhibition shows us the process of the artist, his journey and steps as one progressively "gets up", achieves recognition at the core of his own identity and amongst peers through an unmediated (self) reflection and even criticism: what happens when the artist achieves the status of"king" and the symbolic crown, becomes a validation, as you get up and get there?
