This remarkable tile edition draws inspiration from Strates Urbaines, Vhils’ monumental mural installation at Orly Airport Station—a breathtaking 35-meter masterpiece crafted from over 11,000 hand-produced Portuguese tiles.
Blending Paris’ iconic landmarks, such as the Eiffel Tower and Montmartre, with portraits of everyday Parisians, this tribute captures the essence of the city’s vibrant diversity and spirit.

Each piece celebrates the rich heritage of tile-making while elevating interiors with timeless sophistication and artistic depth.
Portuguese visual artist Alexandre Farto aka Vhils (b. 1987) has developed a unique visual language based on the removal of the surface layers of walls and other media with non-conventional tools and techniques, establishing symbolic reflections on identity, life in the urban context, the passage of time, and the relationship of interdependence between people and the surrounding environment.
With a background in graffiti, his groundbreaking bas-relief carving technique, which forms the basis of the “Scratching the Surface” project, has been met with critical acclaim. Since 2005 he has been presenting his work in solo and group exhibitions, art events, institutions, public interventions, and community projects in numerous countries around the world, having also placed a site-specific piece aboard the International Space Station.
An avid experimentalist, he has been developing his personal aesthetics in a plurality of media, from stencil painting to wall carving, from pyrotechnic explosions and video to sculptural installations. His work is represented in several public and private collections in various countries.

If for any reason you are unhappy with your purchase or have changed your mind, please inform us by email at gallery@under-dogs.net within 14 days of receiving your goods. Unfortunately, after 14 days we cannot proceed with a full refund or exchange.
All damages must be reported by email to gallery@under-dogs.net within 24 hours of receiving the goods. In case of proven damage, and according to the availability of the goods online, you can choose either to return the goods or exchange them.
If there is damage reported to us that allows us to proceed with the return or if you return goods within 14 days of receiving them, any sum debited from your credit or debit card will be re-credited to your account as soon as the goods are well received at our headquarters. Returns are processed within two weeks, but refunds might take up to 2 additional working days to show in your account.

We will endeavour to process all orders for the following 1-2 weeks, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. Orders received on weekends and holidays will be processed the following business days within 1-2 weeks. Orders are processed from Lisbon, Portugal.

We ship worldwide and shipping may usually take 1-2 weeks if your address is in Portugal and a maximum of 30 days for the rest of the world. In any case, we will try not to take longer than 30 days.
In the case of Open Editions, the editions will be shipped on a first come first served basis and will arrive 30 days after the last day of the release. After the release closes, the prints will be produced, signed and numbered by the artist. We will notify you by email once your edition has shipped.
In the case of the Viewing Room, the unique pieces will be processed for all orders during the 30 days following the end of the exhibition (please check the Exhibitions calendar here), Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. Created in a variety of media – including screen prints, Risograph prints, photographic prints, sculptural and ceramic objects, and books, among others – and coming in a wide range of affordable prices, these can be purchased through our online store (with worldwide shipping).
